A rich purple fountain pen ink with an irresistible musk. Jako Purple is a dye-based ink developed to resemble traditional Japanese calligraphy ink, called "sumi." Though standard pigmented sumi is not suited for use with fountain pens, we wondered if we couldn't translate the qualities of this traditional ink into a dye-based fountain pen ink. This is why we chose to partner with KURETAKE, Ltd. who specialize in sumi production. The added musky fragrance makes for a truly sensual writing experience that transports the user into the palaces of Japan's Heian-era aristocracy.
