A gentle yellow-brown fountain pen ink with a bright cypress aroma. Hinoki Yellow is a dye-based ink developed to resemble traditional Japanese calligraphy ink, called "sumi." Though standard pigmented sumi is not suited for use with fountain pens, we wondered if we couldn't translate the qualities of this traditional ink into a dye-based fountain pen ink. This is why we chose to partner with KURETAKE, Ltd. who specialize in sumi production. The added woodland fragrance makes for a truly sensual writing experience that transports the user into the cypress-dotted mountains of Japan.
